I am trying to add a couple of fields as columns to a custom list view on Contacts, the fields are from another custom object. I searched for the fields under the "Select fields to display" on the custom list view but they are not there. How can I add them to my list view?

Hi Mubarak,
You cannot add related object data on list view directly.
To do that in a List View you will need to create custom fields on the Primary object of the List View. Depending on the relationship between the 2 Objects you could use either Formula Fields with Cross-Object Formulas, or the Process Builder or a Trigger and a Field Update Action.
