Using flow to collect records related to the same contact and then using decision element on what should occur

I have a custom object and within that custom object there is a lookup field to contacts. I would like to create a flow that will look through all of the records on this custom object that have the same contact but I'm having trouble conceptualizing how exactly the flow should look like. This custom object holds information on "courses" any contact has taken so basically I want to look through only completed "course" records and based on who completed the course and the courses completed I'll create a notification. For example I might have completed Course A, Course B, and Course D. I want the flow to get all records on my "course" object which will pull these 3 courses I've taken along with any other courses other folks have taken but I want the flow to be able to group by contact. So Kim completed course A, B, D while Bob completed course D and then I'd like to add a decision that would read something like if the status is completed on course A, B, C, D send the notification. In the above scenario I only completed A, B, D so the notification wouldn't go out. I want to have this as a scheduled flow so I'm having trouble figuring out how to have the flow check that the contacts being collected are the same contacts/match so that for example the flow isn't trying to look through course records that don't belong to the same contact. Hopefully that makes sense! Would appreciate any input!

    Hey Kimberly, I'm working on a similar flow and what I did was pull down all records from my custom object, and all records from my standard object. The match was the User ID in my case, but yours would be the ContactID. Your decision would be, If Course Object Contact ID matches Contact ID then do (insert desired action). Its a fairly complex flow since you have a few scenarios to account for but I would suggest doing a flow diagram of some sort, either with a program or a white board, but that should help you identify all your possible scenarios. Good luck on your design, it's taken me about 2 months to get mine to almost perfection. If you're looking for some guidance on where to start there are some good things in Trailhead and also Automation Hero. Oh and if you want to send a custom notification be sure you get the Notification ID from Dev Console, thats the only place you can grab it.
