How can i create a custom task that does not update the last activity field when completed?

Question

I have created a custom activity type called 'call attempted',  when completed it updates this the 'Last activity date' against the related object.  Can i stop this? Hope you can help Thanks

You could however create your own field and update it with process builder when an activity is completed.

This can be a little trickey when working with tasks & the polymorphic lookup, but let me know if you are interested in going this route, can help talk you through it
