Cannot add Assets object to Lightning Navigation Bar/Menu

Question

Hello everyone,

I am having an issue with my Lightning Apps in that I cannot add my organization's Asset object to the navigation bar/menu (e.g. Service Console). If I go to the app editor and go to the "Select Items" option I can see that the Asset object has been included. But saving and exiting I cannot see this option.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!
