Does anyone know how to edit the selection available on the task action drop down list? i.e. the options - Change Record Type, Create Follow Up Event, Change Status, etc?
This is the drop down you get when you click on the button via the Next Steps or Past Activity list.

Hi Jason,
You can remove these from the corresponding pagelayout in Classic and the same will be reflected in lightning.
To make the pagelayout changes use the path – Setup > Build > Customize > Activities > Task Page layout. Edit the corresponding layout and remove the actions.
Remove ‘Change Status’ button from the ‘Quick Actions in the Salesforce Classic Publisher’ section
Remove ‘Create Follow Up Event’ from the Task Details section and save all the changes.
Refresh your page in lightning and you will see the changes effected.
