Should be really basic but I've now tried out a lot but haven't achieved to get a simple report showing all accounts that currently do not have any active(open) opportunity attached to it.
How can I achieve that?
Even better would be to have a report showing all accounts that have no opportunity being created within the past n days/weeks. So I get a good picture which accounts haven't really had much "activity" lately.

This should get you pretty close:
You can change the days to be whatever you want to exclude. I had one account that had no open opportunities with one that closed in May. It shows up with the above filters. When I change to 180 days, it no longer shows up.
You just need to play with these filters to get what you are looking for.
