Can't share a file with a group and make them collaborator

Question

Hi- I have 900+ files I uploaded and shared with libraries.  When I go to share the files with a Chatter Group of users that need to manage the file (upload new versions), they can't be assigned as Collaborators! Please help!  The 900+ file load took so long and I can't redo it!

@Amber : Does your users have  “Manage Salesforce CRM Content” OR “Manage Content Permissions”  permissions ?
