Pardot form - Code to separate one field into First name and Last name fields

Hi! I have a Pardot form that needs to be short due to space requirements. Is there code that would seperate a single Name field into First and Last Name fields so a prospect or lead can be created in Pardot and Salesforce?

Is there a way to do this in Pardot? I know some basic code for the Pardot forms but am still a beginner. I did find the following https://developer.salesforce.com/forums/?id=9060G000000XcL3QAK but it doesn’t give enough detail for a beginner on where the code should be implemented and if anything needs to be changed to make it work. Would appreciate any help! Thanks!
