create quick action on object feed item

I would like to create an 'Action' for object Feed Item. It was already preexisting and I deleted it and don't know how to recreate it.

 

It is of type:

 

Target Object: Task

 

Object Name: Feed Item

 

Standard Label Type: Create New [Record]

 

Name: NewTaskFromFeedItem

 

Create Feed Item: Yes

 

From Setup, I navigate to 'Customize' -> 'Chatter' -> 'Feed Item'. I get two links 'Feed Item Layout' and 'Feed Item Actions'. Clicking on Feed Item Actions takes me to a page for 'Feed Item' object Buttons, Links and Actions. But it does not have a New button. How do I create a new one?

 

Before I deleted the existing one, I took a screenshot.

    it looks like a new button existed for a bit during spring 22, as i was able to create a custom 'create a case' action on feeditem, and it worked.

     

    now in summer22, the new button is gone

     

    but i was able touse a URL hack (at least in classic) to create a new action

     

    try this, substitute your sandbox url

    have an open ticket to see where the new button has gone...maybe it was never supposed to be there?
