How do I add an additional field to the "basics" when I am viewing an opportunity? I need a field right below "Stage". Thank you in advance!

Matt...if you are the administrator I would recommend going to Help & Training (top of this site) ..then look at the Online Training section. There is a link labeled "Getting Started: Administering Salesforce". This will give you a better understanding of adding fields, changing page layouts, etc...
