Roll-Up Summary - Object to Summarize

I've created a new "Roll-Up Summary" field in my Opportunity object. It gives me an option to select a "Summarized Object".

I'm not understanding what does "Summarized Object" mean?

Summarized Object - means the related object, the object of that records you want to summarized like COUNT, SUM, MIN, MAX.

For example- If I create roll-up on account to calculate the number of associated contacts with it, then contact would be summarized object.
