I'm an Admin, hwo to gain access to Dashboards if the original Admin is inactive

I am not the original Admin for our salesforce account, the original Admin is currently inactive, and I would like to create dashboard views for myself and our sales team, but Salesforce is giving me the following error: 

 

Error: The running user for this dashboard is inactive. Your system administrator should select an active user for this dashboard.

 

Do I need to delete the entire profile of that old Admin to re-gain control of the dashboard?

    Try going to the dashboard you are geting this error on. Click on edit. In the right hand corner you will see the following option. You can make the change accordingly.
