When converting a Lead what are the best practices/suggestions for managing other Leads associated to the same company?

When we convert one Lead to an Acconut/Opportunity what is the best way to manage other Leads assocaited to the same Company? If we have 3 Leads for one company and only one is converted the other 2 remain as Leads.. We would like to convert all 3 to avoid confusing and to keep our data clean. What are some best practices for this workflow?

    Hi Nell,

     

    Once you convert one of them, an Account will be created. When you convert the other two, you will have the option of adding the converted Lead to an existing Account rather than creating a new one. In other words, if Jim Baker from Intellitech is converted, there will be an Intellitech Account created. If Kyle Smith from Intellitech is converted, you will have the option of adding him to the existing Account. No real best practices needed in this case since they can all be under one Account upon conversion. 

     

    If you're subtly asking, if we have the decision maker converted, what should we do with the remaining I would say to convert them as well because you can potentially market to them in the future. I hope that helps.
