My contacts are franchise owners. They each own several individual businesses. How can I have one contact record for the person but see all the accounts that they are associated with?
I like to keep my notes with the contact and not the account. Often while talking with the contact questions come up about his/her other businesses.

You can use Contact Roles to link a single Contact record to multiple Accounts
