Validation rule that forces input on a picklist based on a multipicklist

Hey SF folks,

Since I can't create a dependent picklist from a multipick list, how do I go about creating a validation rule that would force a user to make a selection from a second picklist when one certain value in the first picklist is selected?

You didn't list the Field Names or the picklist values, but this is the general idea of what your VR Formula would be:

AND(

INCLUDES( Multi_Picklist_Field__c , " The MultiPicklist Value "),

ISBLANK(TEXT( Picklist_Field__c )))
