I Have an incorrect email address in my user section as the email is incorrect  - i have changed it and saved it but it will not change -

     When you change an email address, Salesforce sends an email to the new email address asking the person to click on a link to verify the email address.  The address won't change on the user's record until the new address has been verified.  You might want to contact the user asking them to be sure to verify the address since the link expires (48 hours maybe?) and then you'd have to do it all over again.
