HI Just yesterday I had a situation where one of our sales rep admins needed to merge two accounts but when she merged them , she wanted to have the custom field value of the secondary account, override that of the primary account but the opposite occured. .Custom fields were not selectable like the standard fields (.i.e. using radio buttons)
- The latest most recent account - which we used as the Secondary account - had a custom field ,called Registration Level, that had a desired value we wanted but also had an account name that we didn't want to keep. Custom fields are not selectable.
- We didn't want to include the new Name of this Secondary account but wanted to keep mostly all of the Primary Accounts field values values However we wanted the Secondary 's Registration Level custom field to take precedence as the resulant merged field value and not the Primary Account's Registration Level Field..
Qa) Is there a slick work around to do this? (.e.g. making custom fields selectable for Account Merges)
Qb) If not: Is there another option where we can merge the accounts such that the majority of the Primary Account fields get merged but have the Secondary's Registration Level customer field get merged instead of the Primary's Registration Level field?
Thanks much for your help.
