Salesforce email shown as undeliverable. However, email works when sending from Outlook.

I have a user who is attemping to send an email from Salesforce.  She continues to receive a "undeliverable" message indicating that the email can't be sent.  However, when she sends the email from outlook, it delivers to the email that is on the contact record in Salesforce.  Has anyone had this same issue?  What was the resolution?

    She was not trying to send an attachment.  It was only an email.
