I have a pick list called Channel (APAC, US, EUR, etc) that I tried to make a required field in SF. Turns out you can't.
I need to make sure people are entering info into this field. Short of creating an exceptions report that runs every week, does anyone know which would be a better alternative?
I tried to create a validation rule but
A. I have no idea how to write formulas
B. It doesn't look like you can for pick lists?

If you just need to make the field required, and the picklist does not have a default value then edit the page layout where the field is and double click the field. Then you have the option to make it required.
