I have a specific requirement with Content object.
I need to bulk upload content into Salesforce (I am able to do this – Via data loader. It all gets uploaded to my personal library).
- I want to know if we can publish all this content to specific libraries in bulk
- Secondly, if I can link individual content items to related Product records in Salesforce via some bulk update.
Please let me know if somebody has worked on a similar requirement.

Hi Gagan,
For bulk Content management, there are two separate pieces here.
- Publishing to specific libraries: Content records have library/membership relationships, so this can be automated rather than manually moving each file. Depending on the Salesforce release, you may need Apex or the appropriate Content API/tooling to create the library memberships in bulk.
- Linking Content to Products: If you need each Content item related to a Product, you can maintain a mapping such as Content ID → Product ID and use Apex/API automation to create the required relationships. This is generally more reliable than trying to do it manually through the UI.
If you have a large number of files, I'd recommend testing the process with a small batch first, especially if the same Content item needs to belong to multiple libraries or Products.
