Can Salesforce support pipeline trending report? Need greater freq than 30 days

 I have a pipeline trending report that graphs the # of opportunities by stage over time.  Salesforce, I have been told, can only produce this report using snapshots of our pipe 1x per month.  That is pathetic.  Are there ways to produce this report in salesforce using weekly snapshots?

 

Salesforce told me that the Analytical Snapshot function would not support what I am trying to do.

    Seems like Analytic Snapshots is exactly what you need. Did they explain why that won't work? Basic idea is you set up and object to be a container, and the snapshot takes a "snapshot" of your pipeline at a frequency you determine (daily, weekly, monthly, just like scheduled reports/dashboards) and creates records in your container object. Then you can just report off that container object.

     

    I've got an A.S. set up now that snaps our funnel every single day.
