Hi,

I am a Classic SFDC user for over a decade and have spent every bit of that decade coding tweaking and fine tuning every single square inch of Salesforce. My perfectly tuned platform is on its way to becoming extinct and I am now faced with the very daunting task of having to recreate in Lighting what works perfectly in Classic.

My main issue is that I have hundreds of the so called button URL hacks (onClick Javascript). Most are conditional in nature and simply determine the appropriate email template to load, who the recipient should be and who should be BCC'd. I desperately need a solution in Lightning. Many of the articles that I come across seem to be solutions for Lightning Actions that create new records or launch validation  logic. I have yet to find an article or discussion on how to create a Lightning Action or Button to conditionally load an email template. Can someone point me in the right direction? If not I will be forced to abandon Salesforce and return to the 1990's era of relational desktop databases.

Sincerely,

CG
