Hello Francis. I'm watching your presentation from dreamforce on salesforce connect & custom connections.

I am a salesforce admin tasked with finding a way to use salesforce connect to connect to our postgres db that is hosted on aws. At the moment, I'm leaning towards making our postgres db provide OData4. So far, I've played with jitterbit, and some others to do this.

You seem to have some experience with these options. So, I'm hoping you might be able to make some quick recommendations.

Thanks!!

One of our primary uses for it is reporting, but we also like the read/write capability, and eventually we will share in a community.

Thanks for recommending skuid. It looks really interesting...a little confusing at a glance because it does so many things and things that salesforce already does. For example, it looks like they have their won visual workflow engine.

One of our developers has gotten involved and says he can write a node.js app to make our db an OData producer within 1-2 weeks. Does this sound realistic to you? I imagine the apps that I'm playing with have lots of iterations behind them and it would be a long time before this node.js app would be at their level.
