Before You Start

Before you start this badge, make sure you complete the following badge. What you learn here builds on the concepts you learn in that content.

Challenges of Campaign Content at Scale

There’s a moment every marketer knows. The campaign brief is approved, the strategy is set, and then the real work begins. You write the email, adapt it for SMS, shorten it for social media, and create variations for different audiences. Then the campaign changes, and every version needs to be updated. The more versions you manage, the more time you spend reviewing, revising, and making sure every customer receives a consistent message.

Now imagine creating campaign content once and adapting it across every channel without starting over. Your campaigns already live in Salesforce. Your brand guidelines, your customer data, your approved assets, all of it’s there. The gap is between having that information and turning it into consistent, channel-ready content at the pace your campaigns demand.

In this badge, you explore how Agentforce Content Agent changes this.

Meet Agentforce Content Agent

Agentforce Content Agent is a tool in Marketing Cloud Next for marketers to create and manage multichannel campaign content. It provides a workspace where you can generate personalized, on-brand, multilingual content for email and messaging channels such as SMS, MMS, and RCS using natural language prompts. The content is grounded in your customer data, campaign goals, and brand guidelines.

Before generating your first draft, you attach your campaign brief, brand guidance, and approved assets so the agent has everything it needs. Then you write a prompt, and the agent generates coordinated, channel-ready content across all your channels at once.

The agent generates on-brand draft text and selects or creates images in the optimal format for each channel. You review, refine, and edit the generated text and images before publishing, making sure the final campaign reflects your brand, audience, and campaign goals.

Ground the Agent with Campaign Context

The agent doesn’t rely on your prompt alone. Before generating content, it uses the information you configured in Marketing Cloud Next to understand your campaign and audience. This process, known as grounding, gives the agent the context it needs to produce content that’s relevant to your campaign and consistent with your brand.

The agent grounds every draft using key sources. These grounding sources—including brief, brand, and assets—help the Agent produce content that’s consistent with your brand, aligned with your campaign objectives, and relevant to your customers, without requiring you to rewrite every draft.

Brief

The brief captures the purpose of your campaign, including goals, target audience, KPIs, calls to action, key messages, and agent guardrails. A brief is a Salesforce record that you should create before generating AI content in your workspace. You then reference a brief to provide context when generating content. The more detail you put in the brief, the more relevant the agent’s output.

Brand

This defines your organization’s identity such as colors, fonts, button styles, and tone. You can create multiple brands to support different business units, product lines, or specific events. Brands are stored in Salesforce Content Management System (CMS) and, like briefs, should be added before you create a workspace.

Assets

These include approved visuals, such as company logos or product photography, that the agent uses when generating content.

Supporting Documents

Provide additional context by uploading legacy campaign briefs or style guides directly in the workspace using the + icon. PDF and plain text formats are supported.

Personalization Data

This gives the agent access to customer profile fields such as first name, email address, or segment membership. With this data, the agent can automatically add merge fields and generate content that’s personalized for each audience. This connection is based on the data sources such as data graphs, marketing objects, and Salesforce objects, preconfigured for personalization in Marketing Cloud Next.

With your grounding sources in place, you’re ready to write your first prompt and start generating content.

Where Generated Content Fits in Your Campaign Workflow

The Agentforce Content Agent sits between campaign planning and campaign activation in Marketing Cloud Next. Here’s how the flow works.

  1. Create a workspace. Open the Agentforce Content Agent tab in Marketing Cloud Next and create a new workspace. Attach a brief, a brand, and any image assets, which sets up your content environment for a single campaign. This gives the agent the context it needs to be useful.
  2. Generate content. Enter a prompt describing the content you need. The agent evaluates all your grounding information and generates channel-ready drafts.
  3. Review and refine. Review the drafts and continue the conversation with follow-up prompts so that the agent refines the content for you. Or, edit text and images directly. Create variants for different audiences, languages, or creative directions.
  4. Publish content. When you’re satisfied with the content, publish it to Salesforce Content Management System (CMS). Published content becomes available for use in Agentforce Marketing Goals Agent and Marketing Cloud Next campaigns.

The agent accelerates the creation step, but you use your expertise to review, approve, and publish the final content.

Next Up

In this unit, you explored how Agentforce Content Agent takes the repetitive work out of multichannel content creation, so you spend less time reformatting and more time refining. In the next unit, you see it in action.
