Hi everyone,
I'm setting up Financial Advisor Assistance in Agentforce for Financial Services and I'm running into an error when trying to activate the agent.
Here’s what I've done so far:
- In Setup → Agentforce for Financial Services, I enabled Financial Advisor Assistance.
- I created an agent using the Financial Advisor Assistance agent template.
- When I try to activate the agent, I get the following error: "An error occurred when processing the <Entity> entity with name Financial_Advisor_Assistance. Looks like you don’t have access to agent templates associated with the AgentforceEmployeeAgent agent type. Make sure that you have the required permissions for the type and try again."
The confusing part is that I cannot find any permission set or permission like AgentforceEmployeeAgent in my org. According to the Salesforce documentation, Financial Advisor Assistance requires permissions such as Einstein for Financial Services, Financial Advisor Assistance, Agent Platform Builder, and Execute Prompt Templates, but I'm not sure if there is an additional permission/license required. Has anyone encountered this specific error when activating the Financial Advisor Assistance agent?
- Is there any other setup required before activating the Financial Advisor Assistance agent?
- Is this possibly an issue with the availability/access of the Financial Advisor Assistance employee-agent template in a pre-release FSC trial org?
Any guidance on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi @Jayashree S
Yes, your understanding looks correct. This seems more like an org entitlement/provisioning issue than only a user permission issue.
You can check these points:
- Manage AI Agents
- You already have this permission, so that part looks fine.
- Salesforce lists Manage AI Agents as one of the main permissions for managing Employee Agents. Salesforce
- Check Employee Agent entitlement
- Financial Advisor Assistance requires the AgentforceEmployeeAgentAddOn.
- It also requires the relevant Financial Services/Einstein entitlement. Salesforce
- Why the permission may be missing
- If Manage Agentforce Employee Agents is not appearing at all, there is a good chance the Employee Agent capability is not fully provisioned in the trial org.
- Some Salesforce Financial Services Agentforce features specifically require both Manage AI Agents and Manage Agentforce Employee Agents. Salesforce
- Check the org setup
- Einstein Generative AI is enabled.
- Agentforce is enabled.
- Financial Advisor Assistance is enabled.
- Required Financial Services licenses/add-ons are assigned.
- If everything is enabled
- I would raise a Salesforce Support case and ask them to confirm whether AgentforceEmployeeAgentAddOn / Employee Agent provisioning is active for that trial org.
So yes, I would first check the Employee Agent entitlement/provisioning , rather than spending more time only on permission sets.
Thank you,
Venkat Yadav.
