Salesforce IFTTT

I am sure that I have the pretty much the same issue as the last question posted here. Since February 18, every IFTTT applet with the trigger "Advanced: Custom Salesforce Trigger [package required]" has malfunctioned. I have to go to IFTTT and make manual checks, which work only sporadically. So far, here's what I gathered of my predicament:

  1. IFTTT's Apex classes and triggers remain valid up to the time of this post.
  2. Flows creating IFTTT events work on Salesforce's side. IFTTT events are inserted on Salesforce's side, there is seemingly a callout to IFTTT, but it says "There is a problem with this trigger" on IFTTT's side.
  3. That trigger works sporadically, and that requires manual checks. Very often, it does not even work, with an error message saying that "There is a problem checking this Applet".
  4. IFTTT's remote logins are successful.
  5. Occasionally, when I try to reconnect to Salesforce from IFTTT, I get redirected to a Heroku page, which says "Oops, an error occurred. This exception has been logged with ID something."
  6. I have version 1.8 of the package, and cannot downgrade to version 1.7.
  7. Other IFTTT applets that do not rely on that trigger work fine.
  8. IFTTT's Salesforce action "Advanced: Insert a Record" works. The (less useful) trigger "Record Created or Updated" also works. I haven't tested IFTTT's ability to query Salesforce records, though.
  9. IFTTT's Remote Site Setting is active. Disabling Protocol Security has no effect.

I'm sure that it's not just me who's affected; about 50% of API calls to IFTTT around the globe seem to fail. Would you kindly investigate the issue?

It has been 4 days after the original post. I am quite certain that this happens worldwide.

I look forward to a reply. Thank you.

I use it for sending simple messages from Ifttt to chatter. When we try to authenticate, we get an error output from this site.

https://ifttt-salesforce.herokuapp.com/

Oops, an error occurred

this exeption has been logged with id ******.

Our environment has single sign on enabled, so we are authenticating from a custom domain.

The version of the package is 1.8.

Please let me know what I need to do to identify the problem.

Thanks.

Assuming this is running as a Salesforce User then check the Login History of that user.

We have a trigger using this package that creates trello cards when opps are submitted for approval, but it seems to have stopped working today. Without any documentation to see what API version the package is using, I am worried this is because of an API version deprecation. I'm on V1.6 and tried to upgrade to 1.7 from the app exchange but got a message saying the package was deprecated and could not be upgraded.

Any ideas on where to go from here?

Thanks Scott, but I am fairly certain the issue is not IFTTT's connection with trello, but rather with the connection with the Salesforce IFTTT trigger. The records are created in salesforce, but nothing is happening in IFTTT.

Potentially we could build it ourselves and send the data out to trello that way via webhook as you suggest. It's just rather painful and I'd like to avoid it if I can!

The error keeps generating every time an opportunity is won.  The ITFFF package is deactivated.  What is the issue and how  can it be resolved?

Hi

I am new to IFTTT so excuse me in advance if I ask a redundant question.

I am trying to use the app to embedd/display a social media (twitter) stream/activity in salesforces communities.

I have created an app and it is connected but when the trigger kicks in, I get the error below. (See attached screenshot).

Also, what is the preferred way to populate the feed on a section within a community page? Is there a component to use?

Any help or pointing me towards the right direction will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

E.W

Is there a straightforward way to uninstall this App?

Getting error messages that

Apex script unhandled exception by user/organization: 005A0000000c7Up/00DA0000000artp

Hello, I have noticed that the integration is throwing errors when an opp is closed won even though we are not using that functionally. The error is:

Failed to invoke future method 'public static void callout(String, String)' on class 'ifttt.Webhook' for job id 'XXXXXX'

caused by: System.CalloutException: Unauthorized endpoint, please check Setup->Security->Remote site settings. endpoint = http://ifttt-salesforce.herokuapp.com/ifttt/v1/webhook/opportunity_was_won

While I know how to resolve the issue (By adding the site into the site settings). I am a bit confused as to why IFTTT is trying to use that endpoint considering that I do not have anything setup for Opps for that trigger to fire (Also concerned about it using an HTTP endpoint instead of an HTTPS one)

Does anyone have any insight into this?

Hi!  I am trying to use the Insert Record functionality to create a new record when an event is added to my google calendar.

When I try to make the recipe on IFTTT, my SObjects field just says "loading" for a very long time.  Why won't they load so I can choose the object for the record to be created in?

I need help setting up custom IFTTT triggers. I've watched the videos at

https://ifttt-salesforce.herokuapp.com/help

But it has not helped. I think it could be how I've named things:

  • Related Object Type
  • Object ID
  • Event Type

Really have no idea. What I want to do is change the color of the lights in my office when a opportunity reaches a specific phase in its chain. I get the process automater is what I need yet I don't understand how to call this function into action.

Is there any help or resources that can give a better how-to?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe

This YouTube video helped me out when I was building out my custom IFTTT events:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DcHBRD9HCc

From my experience you do need to make sure the Trigger in Salesforce has the same name as your IFTTT recipe in order for it to work. In Process builder you can add those extra fields you mentioned above so you can see what each IFTTT event is tied to.
