enabling AI feature in tableau desktop and tableau cloud

    Hello @Anand Kodlipet 

    AI features can be enabled in both Tableau Cloud and Tableau Desktop, but the setup is slightly different.

    For Tableau Cloud, a Site Administrator can go to Settings → AI in Tableau and enable the required AI features. Some features require Tableau+ and a connected Salesforce org with Einstein enabled.

    For Tableau Desktop, Tableau Agent is available from 2025.1+

    when Desktop is connected/signed in to a Tableau Cloud site with the required AI configuration. 

     

    So, in short: enable AI at the Cloud site level → configure the required Salesforce/Einstein setup if needed → sign in to that site from Desktop → use Tableau Agent.
