I am working on marketing data and need to bring specific dimensions and measures in a single view. Tableau is not letting me extract the data (without the extract you cant proceed) within several combinations. For example:
- dimensions: date, search query + measures: clicks, impressions is permitted
- dims: : date, channel grouping + measures: clicks, impressions is not permitted
But for my view I need to bring all three dims together.
Has anyone worked with that before? Even though I am supposed to be able to select up to 7 dimensions and 10 measures, some combinations are not working out.
(also had the same issues of bringing age and gender in)

Have you tried pulling in each dimension or measure individually? Usually it fails to create an extract if one or more of them are not available. I had this same issue, so I started with one, to confirm it worked, then slowly added them 1 by one to confirm which of them was not actually available for me to pull.
