We've had a request to be able to copy the data of Phone fields within the mobile app and still maintain the ability to click on them directly to make a call (from iOS and Android). I can get this to work on Android by using a formula field to copy the existing phone number field and put it within a "tel:" hyperlink, allows for copying of the phone number and calling directly.
Unfortunately, that method does not work for iOS. It allows me to click on it directly to call, but I can't copy the data. From what I can see this is just a general limitation of formula fields within the mobile app for iOS, but I just wanted to confirm. I can't move them to just be text fields, as we still need to maintain the ability to click to call. Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately we have this setup with multiple fields for the request, so that would end up taking up a lot of space on the Details tab. I think we just might be out of luck on this one.
