Hello,

I have a Salesforce Developer Edition account. I still have access to the email address associated with my account, but unfortunately I have forgotten my password.

The problem is that I have also forgotten the answer to my security question, so I cannot complete the password reset process.

I am the only administrator of this Developer Edition org.

Could you please help me reset my password and regain access to my Salesforce Developer Edition?

I can provide my Salesforce username and any other information required to verify that I am the owner/administrator of the org.

Thank you very much for your help

    Hi @abdel zaad

For a Developer Edition org where you've lost both your password and your security question answer, here's the actual path:

    • Self-service is exhausted once the security question fails Salesforce's automated reset flow requires either the security answer or (if enabled) a verification code sent to your registered email/phone. If you still have access to the registered email, try the "Forgot Password" flow again carefully it emails a reset link, and the security question typically only triggers for certain login contexts (new device/location). Worth trying it from a normal browser/known IP if you haven't already.
    • If that link doesn't come or the security question blocks you regardless, self-service can't go further you'll need Salesforce Customer Support (Trailhead/Developer Edition orgs go through Trailhead Help, not standard paid-org support channels). Since Developer Edition has no paid support entitlement, support is community/help-center based, not a phone/chat SLA.
    • What to have ready when you contact them: your username, the org's My Domain URL (if set), the registered email address, approximate signup date, and any Org ID you can find (e.g. from an old email/notification, or Setup > Company Information if you're ever logged in on another session/device that's still active).
    • Do not post your username, Org ID, or any identifying details in the public Trailblazer Community thread that's a public forum, and account-recovery details should only go through Salesforce's official support intake, not a public post. If your linked thread already has such details in it, I'd edit/remove them.

The actual support entry point is here: https://help.salesforce.com/s/

for Developer Edition specifically, look for "Trailhead/Developer Org" account help rather than the standard paid-support case flow, since DE orgs aren't tied to a paid support contract.
