Hi everyone,
I'm experiencing a frustrating alignment issue with Dynamic Forms on the Case Record Page.
After upgrading my page to Dynamic Forms, I have a Field Section configured as "2 Columns" in the property panel. However, when I try to align two fields side-by-side (one in the left column and one in the right), Salesforce doesn't allow me to "snap" the second field next to the first one.
Instead of staying in their respective columns, the fields automatically collapse into a single column layout or jump to the next row, making the page look disorganized and unlike the original Page Layout.
I have already verified that:
- The section is explicitly set to 2 Columns.
- I am dragging the fields slowly to find the drop zone, no chance
Is there a known limitation or a specific trick to force fields to respect the 2-column grid when one of the columns is meant to be empty or when trying to replicate a specific layout symmetry?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

This issue typically occurs because the Field Section is placed within a narrow Lightning page region (like a side sidebar) or the screen resolution is too low, forcing the UI to collapse into a single column for responsiveness. Even if set to 2 Columns, Salesforce will auto-stack fields if the container width is insufficient. To fix this, ensure the Field Section is in the Main Region of the page and check your browser zoom levels. Additionally, verify that no Component Visibility filters on individual fields are interfering with the layout rendering.
