Hi All,     We have configured several Global Actions in our Salesforce org and added them to the Gmail Integration messaging app layout. These actions are correctly visible in Setup → Gmail Integration and Sync → Messaging App Editor Layout, and the layout is properly assigned to all user profiles. In total, we configured six actions (New Event, New Task, New Opportunity, New Case, New Potential, and New Contact Pro). However, when using the Salesforce Gmail extension, only three actions appear under the “+” (Create Record) menu: New Event, New Task, and New Contact Pro. The other actions (New Opportunity, New Potential, and New Case) do not appear, even though they are correctly configured and assigned. Could you clarify why the Gmail extension does not display all configured Global Actions from the messaging layout ?     Thanks

Hi @Karim Mezouar - This behavior is a known limitation of the Salesforce Gmail Integration.

Even if actions like New Opportunity, New Case, or custom object actions are added in the Messaging App Layout Editor, the Gmail extension does not display every action in the “+” (Create Record) menu. The extension only supports a limited set of email-focused Global Actions, typically Event, Task, and Contact.

Because of this limitation, actions such as New Case or New Opportunity cannot currently be forced to appear in the Gmail extension menu. They may exist in the layout, but the extension filters out unsupported objects.

So in short, the configuration in Setup can be correct, but the Gmail extension will still only show the supported actions, and there is currently no setting to override this behavior.
