    Very important topic. Very important to do one way or another.

     

    It's important to realize that what you see on the screen for a phone number field is NOT what is stored in the database. Lightning pages (and even classic before) do some reformatting for presentation of several common phone number formats. I find it maddening, but it's there anyway. You can read about it in the help docs. Just sharing in case people implement and get weird results when testing. What you enter and see is not always actually what the flow or formula will receive in terms of a value.
