Hi @Julie Steinloski, I have linked a knowledge article that walks through how to Prepare Custom Objects for Salesforce Maps.
Prior to setting up your custom object within the Salesforce Maps configuration page, you need to add fields for latitude and longitude to your custom object. These are necessary because Salesforce Maps converts your record's address into latitude and longitude values. Salesforce Maps then uses these latitude and longitude values to plot your records on the map.
Once you have created the latitude and longitude fields on your custom object, you will be able to configure your custom base object in the Salesforce Maps Configuration Page. The knowledge article walks through the step-by-step process of configuring the new custom base object.
