A new person account record type has been implemented in our system. I need to convert the lead (which has the person account lead record type) to the corresponding person account (/contact). In the flow, prior updating the record, it cannot find the target ID. Help please.

Hello, to make sure I'm following, it sounds like you just enabled Person Accounts, and you're trying to update existing Accounts and Contacts to be equal to Person Accounts?
When you say Person Account Lead record type, which object is this on, and do you have a custom record type called Person Account Lead that was built to identify someone as a Person Account (outside of the standard Person Account Functionality)
