Education Cloud Spring ‘24 Release Announcement 

Today we are proud to announce the Spring ‘24 Release for Education Cloud, which demonstrates our continued commitment to supporting a fully-connected platform for the entire student lifecycle. This Spring ‘24 release includes new functionality and features to streamline the applicant experience, enable mentorship programs, support advancement operations, and improve the student experience. As education evolves to embrace institution-wide CRM, we are excited to share this new innovation with you, the incredible Salesforce education community, and demonstrate our commitment to help you on your journey.

Recruitment and Admissions Enhancements: 

Streamline the applicant experience, scale application components across multiple programs, and support parents or international agents who may need to apply on behalf of a student.

  • Dynamic Applications:
    • Build applications faster with modular application components that can be reused across multiple programs and departments
    • Support applicants with a flexible experience that enables them to start, save for later, and complete applications more seamlessly; this feature is pre-configured in the Multi-Constituent Portal Template
    • Empower reviewers with visibility into where applicants are getting stuck with helpful icons that automatically track completion status
  • Third Party Applications:
    • Parents, guardians, and international agents can now submit applications on behalf of one or more applicant. This feature will be incredibly impactful for K-12 or primary schools where parents need to submit applications for their children.

Student Success Enhancements:

Improve the student experience and help students reach their goals.

  • Action Plans & Templates
    • Scale staff impact with new templates designed for students to create their own action plans, visible to advisors, that quickly define the actions they should take to stay on track or accomplish a new milestone
  • Student Action Center
    • Help students stay organized with a consolidated view of relevant and timely action items–from tasks to action plans–accessible through the Student Portal

Mentorship Support - Student Success and Advancement:

Build deeper relationships by connecting students with mentors like alumni, faculty, or peers, and support with a comprehensive portal experience.

  • Manage and facilitate flexible mentoring programs for multiple use cases.
  • Empower high impact mentoring networks.
  • Foster a deeper sense of belonging for students and alumni.

Advancement & Alumni Relations:

Support advancement operations with enhancements for entering gifts, recording payment information, and fundraising integrations.

  • Build an integration with fundraising for third party vendors
  • Track detailed payment information and answer donor questions without having to leave Education Cloud
  • Perform fundraising upgrade campaigns and track attribution to understand ROI

Skills Generator (Pilot):

Leverage AI to enhance workforce readiness. Identify and catalog student skills and quickly define and associate recommended skills with courses.
