Hi everyone! Basic question here.  Our current website uses MCAE forms. When someone converts on the site, the team gets an alert about the conversion, we review it and then do one of three things:

  1. Push it into Salesforce if a rep needs to take action on it
  2. Drop it into a marketing campaign if they're not at the state for outreach from Sales
  3. Delete it if it's spam

We're working on a new website and the agency we're working with is recommending that we use forms that integrate directly into Salesforce rather than the MCAE forms. I was curious how everyone else handles the forms on their website.  Any advice or insight would be appreciated.

Just adding a note in agreement with @Elaina Buzzell for using Form Handlers!

It's possible that if you're using a standard form, the agency is struggling with the iFrame function of the Pardot form. Pardot forms are very easy to set-up and manage, but they have tracking and design limitations. If the agency is wanting to configure Google Tag Manger to track page activities, the Pardot form iFrame makes this a bit more challenging. Additionally, if they want to custom design the form's look and feel, there's not much else that can be done with an iFrame. A Pardot Form Handler would allow you to maintain your current process, but give you additional tracking and design functionality.
