Define Public Groups

Question

In the Trailhead lesson: Developer Beginner > Data Security > Define Sharing Rules, there are steps that imply that there is a Recruiting App in place already. Specifically the steps to create a Public Group ask me to select specific roles which do not exist. This is implying that either there is supposed to be a download/install of an App or some previous step needed me to create these roles. I've rechecked the first 6 lessons in this that are before this lesson and cannot find a request to create or download this app. Thus the steps to follow to create this Public Group cannot be followed. Is this an error or are those steps simply an illustration? I ask because many of the other lessons I've taken either had me install an app or the data was already there.
