Hi,
I am seeking help in deployment planning. We moved our change set from DEV. to QA. and testing passed all changes. We had to build Standard Object changes manually in QA as change set deployment does not support Standard Object changes.
Now we are ready to move changes from QA to Production. Below are few questions:
1. Do we need to recreate the change set in QA to move to PROD?
2. While we are building Standard Object changes in PROD – would users be able to use the system? i.e. if I am building customization in PROD for Account object – can user continue to use Account object while I am making the changes manually?
3. Any other helpful tips you can provide for deployment to PROD.
Thank you so much.
Best,
Sukesh

- Yes, you will have to recreate the change set in the QA sandbox. Because you can not convert an inbound changeset to an outbound changeset. So you will have to create a changeset and then manually add the items into it.
- Yes, the users can continue to use the Account object while you are making changes to it.
