I saw this help article, and noticed that Tasks were not one of the supported objects. Has anyone figured out a way to filter which contacts are available to link to a Task? Ideally we want the suggested contacts that pop up to be contacts attached to the account or opportunity that the task is on. @* Salesforce Administrators *
@Cassidy Schulze There is no auto way to do this. Best recommendation is to use a screen flow either launched in a page component in lightning or via a button. You pass the AccountId to the flow and use it to create a record choice set with All Contacts that have an AccountId equals the Account Id you pass. Then when the user selects the contact, you pass the contactId to the Task WhoId field. This should work and would prevent the need for customization. Let me know if questions.
