Announcing the My Domain and Enhanced Domains Quick Reference Guide

Update, April 28, 2022: My Domain is enforced in all Salesforce orgs and the other guidance in the original Quick Reference Guide is incorporated into the My Domain section of Salesforce Help.

I agree with you that it will save you time and testing to change your My Domain name and enable enhanced domains together.
At this time, enhanced domains require Salesforce Edge Network. We are working on making it available without Salesforce Edge Network and will announce when this option is available in this Trailblazer group.
Because the option to enable enhanced domains without Salesforce Edge Network has been delayed, we will be postponing the enforcement of enhanced domains to give everyone time to test and enable the feature. That will be announced shortly through a release note update - and we'll also post in this group.
