We have an Executive Ed track that people can follow and take the courses as they would like. I'm looking for a good way to track what courses a person has taken (and what they haven't) to assist in marketing purposes. Currently there are 9 classes a person could take, but this number is likely to grow.
What is the best way to track this? Checkbox for each class on the contact record? Multi-select picklist on the contact record? Separate object as a related list on the contact record? Obviously not all contacts would have this information- only those that are going thru the Exec Ed track.

Have you considered using a Campaign for each class, and campaign memberships to show their status?
