I need assistance because I have a controlling picklist field which is not allowing a third party app to update mailing address fields.

Controlling field on Contact object: Primary Address Type

Using Visual Antidote Fast Forms tool, we are using a prefill link to send out to contacts a template with embedded link to an update form.  The update form updates "other" address fields fine, but does not update the "mailing" address fields. We believe this is caused by some action controlled by the field "Primary Address Type".
