Hi everyone - in your opinion what's the better Outlook integration: The Office 365 App or the desktop plugin? They both seem to do almost the same thing but does anyone have a favorite? Consultants - which one do you usually recommend?

The main use case I run across here is people just wanting to add emails into Salesforce automatically as Activities related to Contacts or Accounts. The ability to search for and view records tends to be lesser used in my experience.

The two tools I'm looking to compare here are:

Salesforce App for Outlook: https://store.office.com/salesforce-app-for-outlook-WA104379334.aspx

Salesforce for Outlook: https://help.salesforce.com/apex/HTViewHelpDoc?id=outlookcrm_install.htm

Recently started using the Salesforce for outlook (desktop) tool in our non profit. Easy to use. Takes some performance of the computer but not too much. Easily fits your requirement to sync emails to salesforce and get info from salesforce. And best for all it is free.
