When converting, is it guaranteed that the relationship with the other objects will be maintained?

I can't necessarily guarantee it will be 100% reliable without any issues, but I've seen Magic Mover used numerous times with great success and would certainly vouch for it. I've never encounter any issues in my experiences with the tool and have seen it used to migrate tens of thousands of attachments for companies upgrading from Classic to Lightning.
The success really comes down to a successful planning strategy. Magic Mover has a very well written user guide that walks through how to best use the tool. I think your largest risk would potentially be some duplicates as opposed to loss of files. Where there may be some challenges is if you have any with private notes and attachments. Those can always be tricky to load, but Magic Mover does have capabilities to handle that.
Relationships will be kept in tact as attachments are converted to files. The other nice thing is you can move your files in batches and confirm that everything looks good before deleting the old attachments. Magic Mover doesn't automatically delete converted attachments so you'll have plenty of chance to do spot checking to confirm everything is converting correctly.
