Hi Nikola,
The issue with creating formula fields that read data from a child record is that there can be many child records. Which value do you select if there are 2, 5, or 10,000 children?
The usual method of bringing a value up to the parent level is by using process builder on the child object. When the record meets certain criteria, you can copy the value from the child record to a custom field on the parent.
