Why isn't my list view updating?

I just created a custom object and want a few specific fields to show when you hover in the related tab.

I went to object manager > page layout > mini page layout and selected the fields that I want to see, however it's not working.

For some reason the list view is only showing one field (see image attached).

How do I get the fields I want to see to show up? Why isn't my list view updating?

@Mary Taggert thx! So I created a new list view in classic but I'm still experiencing the same problem in lightening. Any other thoughts?
