How to lock a Opportunity Record when stages changes in reverse order

Hi,

I have a requirement were when an opportunity stages is chaged that recored should be locked and email should sent to the respecitve manager.

For a instant:

1. We have 7 stages in opportunity from SS1 to SS7,

2. If someone tries to chage a stage from SS6 to SS5 the record should get locked and email should sent to the manager

Can someone help me with this.
