Say I have a custom object called "Payments" and I added a lookup relationship with Payments as the parent and Contacts as the child. (So when I create a Payment I can add a Contact to it).

Now in Reports I can clearly create a report on Payments and list the Contact as a field. However, I want a report in the form of "Payments & Contacts" whereby I can select fields BOTH from Payments AND Contacts. Without this, I can see all the Payment fields and "Contact Name" but I want to be able to also access Contact Phone Number, Address, etc... How can I do this?

If someone could try to do this on their own by creating a custom object and taking snapshots of their steps, that would be great

    Hi Sameer,

Thanks so much for your response! However I still have a problem - let me show you

Here I have my CUSTOM "Contracts" object. I have created a lookup relationship to another object called "Accounts," and you can see an account called "WoohooAcct" linked to it:

Hi Sameer, Thanks so much for your response! However I still have a problem - let me show you Here I have my CUSTOM

However when I try to create a custom report with Accounts, it is not an option, as you can see it is not in the dropdown here:

I want this to be in the dropdown so that in my report, I don't JUST get the "account name" but also that account's details.. Do you know what's going wrong?
