Currently one of the users has hundreds of records under him. A new user joined his team, and i wanted this second user to have access to everything from the first user (and vice versa).
Plus every time one of them opens a record (account/opportunity), i want both to have access to it, without that first user having to manually "share" the record (just in case they forget to "share"). thank you

I would do this with criteria based sharing rules. Criteria based sharing rules allow you to extend a private or public read only OWD setting. You would need to create a group for users you would like to share records with. You then create a criteria based sharing rule to share records owned either by that user or public group. You then would define the public group, role, subordinates you would like to share the records with. The group is nice because you can add users as the team grows. You will need to set the sharing rules at the objects you would like shared... accounts, contacts, opps, etc.
